The government has decided to build a rail link between Liszt Ferenc International Airport and Budapest’s Nyugati railway station, the government office chief announced on Thursday. The government has finally settled on building a new 29km spur line connected to the Budapest-Cegléd-Szolnok line, János Lázár said at his weekly press conference. The cost target is around 100 billion forints (EUR 323.5m). Services will run every 20 minutes and travel time between the airport and the city is estimated at 18-20 minutes, he said.
